After getting up at 1:00 a.m. to trade, I watched my trading system give me a signal. I waited almost an hour for confirmatation. The EUR/USD market stalled around 1.4600 for almost 30 minutes before reversing back up to 1.4660 area. I was able to go relatively unscathed by only losing $37.00. I was able to bring that down with a few small trades to $27.00 before going back to sleep. I woke up at 6:00 a.m. to see that the market still was at the 1.4660 trading sideways. I got another signal 10 mintues before 7:00 a.m. I was able to capture another 10 points. I had to close out of the position for the fact that I had to go to work. The market normal has a strong trend between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. that I normally miss because I have to go to work.

After blowing my account out again, I had to add another $500.00 to it. However, this time, I believe I came up a trading system that puts the odds in my favor. I was able to test it out this morning. I made $126.50.

Sunday evening, the Forex lost 100 pips between 7:00 p.m. and 8:35 pm. I was able to grab 35 pips. Unfortunately, I lost more that I gained overleveraging my trades afterwards, chasing the market. I kept thinking of how much I could have made if I had placed a 50 lot trade. Now, I’m trying to gain my losses back.

It’s 1:24 a.m. My trading day has begun. Today, as a part of my commitment to learning to become a professional trader, I bought the book, “The Ultimate Day Trader” by Jacob Bernstein. I’ve read chapters 1 & 2 already. Bernstein shared a few of his trading rules. One in particular hit me like a sledgehammer. “If you lack the discipline to change such negative habits as excessive drinking, overeating, and smoking, then you will probably lack the discipline required for successful trading.” After reading his words, I immediately put his book down and thought about all the negative habits I have in my life. Would I be willing to let them go at this very minute to become a successful trader? The answer is yes. Starting about an hour ago, I committed to implementing his rules and doing away with some of my bad habits immediately.

Today I set on yet another journey to become a forex trader. I’ve come up with a three month target date, January 1st, 2010. Today I brought my account up to $50.00. I’m going to see how much I can earn daily. My goal is by the end of 2010 to be earning on average $500.00 per day.
Tonight I shouldn’t have traded. Sunday’s always seem to have light volitility. With that said, I was able to capture $5.12 profit, which is a 10% return for the day.

We Never Said Hello - Poem by Eric P. Martin
We never said hello
your smile spoke
I listened, then it sang
a song to always be remembered
We never said hello
just a glance
followed by a dance
as we flowed into each other arms
We never said hello
as we drove wildly away
carrying with us the moments
to a destination unknown
We never said hello
like the sun so polietly did
through a bedroom window
now silence was the only song playing
We never said hello
as I watched your image fade
there were no laughs, no tears to wipe
giving us reason not to say goodbye

I just finished watching a Tony Robbins interview with Frank Kern and John Reese. Watching this video reminded me of a important part of the formula for success. I think feeding your mind with information that will assist you in achieving any type of personal achievement is crucial.

Tonight, I feel like writing my heart out. I haven’t really been in the mood to let any feelings out nor have I had the time. And that is when I realized that all of my ambitions need some type of action behind them. Consistently. Not only action, but recorded, documented, daily action. So, it will be here that I record my goals, and daily action. If no blogging is done, it can be assumed that I have taken no action for the day. This idea will force me to do several things. One is to write daily. The second is to blog. The third is to see some progress. The forth is to create a habit. And the fifth, but not last is to record my journey.
What are my immediate goals?
- Personal -
- Financial –
- Save for Forex Trading Account
- Creative Career
- Create something daily (poem, art, picture, write, sing, practice music)
Everyday there should be something on my blog in which I answer the question “What Action did I take today?”

Today I was reading my social science book. I read something that caused me to create my own social experiment. The passage read, In nature, there is a competition for living space, resources, and mates. – Contemporary Society, Twelfth Edition - John Perry, Erna K. Perry.
My idea was to send an email introduction letter to 100 women on Plentyoffish and track their response. I was able to send 83 emails. My criteria was single, no children, between the ages of 30-50, and within 10 mile radius of my zip code. My email read:
I seen and read your profile online. I found you and you what you had to say quite attractive. I thought I would send you a message. A little bit about me. I’m 44, never married, no children. I’m currently a full-time student. I enjoy photography, writing, playing guitar, piano, and singing. I’ve also taken up oil painting which I enjoy. I love going to art galleries openings. I also like attending the number of live music festivals that Chicago offers.
I’m looking to meet someone for a simple coffee and conversation on a weekend if we find each other compatible over email or phone conversations.Let me know if you’re interested in finding out more about me.Eric
