“The Energy of Money” Principle 2
I was finally able to finish the second principle in Maria Nemeth’s book, “The Energy of Money.” This chapter was a little bit challenging for me as I had to faces some truths about myself. As Maria puts it in her book, “The only thing that keeps us from wanting to know who are is the fear of who we might be.” The focus of this chapter was understanding “Your Standards of Integrity.” The core of who you are. Your pure self. I can remember a time when I was trusting, loving, and had no bitterness about people or life. I suppose that is what forty years of living will do to an old chap. Nemeth introduces the concept of “Coming Full Circle with Integrity.” Picture a circle that has a “gap” … Read entire article »

The Master’s Seminar 2008 in Chicago
This morning I woke up around 5:30 am to the rain pouring down outside my open window. I knew I didn’t have to get up and get ready for work so I went back to sleep for another two hours. When I did wake up again, it was still raining. So much for any outdoor plans I would have. I did remember a seminar promoted by one of the marketing Meetup groups I was in. I was supposed to get some complimentary tickets by sending the host an email. I quickly checked and saw that I had instructions on going to Ross Goldberg’s Masters Seminar. I filled out the secret password to register. I quickly started to get ready as it started at 8:00 a.m. I arrived just in time to here speaker Kevin Nations. … Read entire article »

“The Energy of Money” Principle 1
I completed reading the chapter “Your Greatest Power Is To Be Willing” in Maria Nemeth’s book “The Energy of Money.” My answer is “Yes”, I’m willing to take a look at my relationship with money. This is the first principle in twelve that Nemeth has layed out for those looking to heal thier relationship with money. As I dove futhrer into the chapter, she brought up an interesting point. How we “act” towards money. She illustrated that by posing a question about what would you do for a 100 million dollars. This got me to thinking not only my relationship, but people in general. There was someone I went to high school with that is serving a five-year prison term for robbing a bank. I thought about all those young women who would “whore” themselves for $20.00 … Read entire article »

An AhHa Moment with the Book “The Enegry of Money”
photo credit: apesara I have to admit, I’ve had “The Energy of Money” book for several years now and have yet to complete reading it. I decided to pick it back up due to what seems like a financial brick wall I’m unable to break through. Maria in her chapter entitled “What Is the Energy of Money” talks about the metaphysical world that we live in. The dreams, goals and ambitions that floats in our consciousness on a daily basis. These ideas haven’t reached the physical world yet. They won’t unless you take what she calls “Authentic Action.” This all made a lot of sense to me. I’ve decided that I’m going to start focusing on taking authentic action for all of my financial goals to see if I can manifest the money … Read entire article »

Author, L. A. Banks promotes new book in Chicago
New York Times Best Selling Author L. A. Banks. I don’t know what drawn me into going to a book signing tonight. I’m not particularly interested in fiction novels. Perhaps it was the opportunity to take my camera in a different enviroment. Whatever the reason, I truly enjoyed attending L. A. Banks book signing at Border’s in Hyde Park. As I walked in, I picked up a copy of Bank’s new book, “The Shawdows” that was displayed on the center table. As I stood there flipping through the pages, I thought I would buy her new book as I was going to be upstairs taking pictures of her. I might as well give her some support. Author L. A. The Chosen Few Family Reunion 2008 Picnic
Today I attended the 18th Annual The Chosen Few Old Skool Picnic. And what a great time I had. I missed the House Muisc parties in the 80′s as I was serving my country overseas. And when I came back to Chicago, I didn’t stay long before I moved to California and stayed for 10 years. There seems to have been a movement taking place for House Music that has lasted for all these years and continues to grow followers each year. House music lovers gather in Jackson Park for a annual event to celebrate their love for music they grew up on. D.J. Andre Hatchett spins his records at the 18th Annual Chosen Few Picnic. D.J. 4th on 53rd Hyde Park Parade 2008
As I was headed on my journey, I discovered an event that was going to be taken place in my neighborhood. In the parking lot behind the Hyde Park Bank people began to gather. I was curious as to what. Soon, I was approached by a man named John who asked me if I wanted to get my bike decorated. I asked, “what for?” He explained to me that the 4th on 53rd, a parade for the neighbors in Hyde Park was going to be taken place. I asked, “Can I be in it?” He assured me I could. Now I’ve never been in a parade before. I thought it would be fun. Sometimes in life you have to be a participant rather than view it from the outside looking in. My decorated parade … Read entire article »
