If I find something to read that interests me I comment. If I'm really interested I add it to favourites to come back regularly. I think you can tell pretty easily which bloggers actually read the sites and which just drop cards looking for drop backs. Speed dropping means you miss out on good blogs and defeats the purpose of marketing your blog, which is to pull in quality traffic. Increased comments and new blogs to read is the better payoff from entrecard right now, rather than increased traffic alone (which is nice but below the other two). I agree with you buddy.
